Timeless elements with pops of color and texture were present in each piece of this fun filled and inspiring day. This editorial shoot was designed with garden inspired blooms and soft color at the forefront, with a nod to our location - private estate and winery Hammersky Vineyards. This editorial features a custom invitation suite with sketches of mustard seed, a California native plant that blooms for much of the year in the countryside surrounding Hammersky. Surrounded by fresh cut florals and bridal details captured perfectly on film by Jen Rodriguez. Colorful and blooming florals adorned each piece of the shoot, from our bridal bouquet, overflowing with pops of buttery yellow hues to blooming tablescapes, set along the barn. Blossoming branches and white peonies kept the floral design timeless, and allowed for fun pops of of soft blush and texture.

Our inspiration for this shoot was a neutral color pallet that could be featured in all seasons. The mixed metals element brought rose gold, yellow gold, and brass together both in the jewelry component as well as in the decor details. I also wanted to feature a beautiful couple with a unique style! Biddle Ranch Winery was the perfect location to host this editorial with its modern and clean atmosphere. Soft tones in in the florals mixed with poppy warm hues in the lounge made for a complex palette, and the clean lines and subtle textures rounded out our design

The wedding took place inside the barn at Santa Margarita Ranch, with rain pouring on the roof above, making for a dreamy environment! Soft colors and natural hues made for an organic design story here, reflecting the classic style of the ranch. Juliana and Christian shared their day with everyone near and dear to them, and it was a night to remember!

Where to even start? I hired Sarah about 10 months prior to my wedding. Immediately upon talking with her my stress started to disappear. She is the most organized, thoughtful, and talented person I have ever met. Talk about someone who has truly found her calling in life. Sarah made the entire wedding planning process so much easier and even fun! I often said "how does one even plan a wedding without a Sarah?!" I looked forward to our scheduled calls and emails and always felt like she had everything perfectly under control. The day of was even more amazing than I could have imagined. Sarah had everything perfectly coordinated and organized. She kept everyone in line and on schedule but was also SO friendly and SO nice to everyone. Things I never even thought of, she had already done. She is truly a special gem. She is the reason my wedding went so smoothly and was so perfect. I could not possibly thank her enough and actually miss our chats! Trust me, you need Embark Event Design for your special event.
Being the Mother of the Bride I could not be more pleased that we chose Sarah of Embark Event Design to be our Wedding Planner. Sarah was impressively on top of every detail from choosing venders, helping with the design details, and solving every question and hurdle we encountered. Sarah was absolutely amazing considering the wedding was during the COVID pandemic. We flipped back and forth from April through July trying to decide if we wanted to postpone the wedding to next year. Sarah was so helpful, empathetic, and extremely efficient in presenting all the possible dates we could postpone to with the same venue and vendors we had already chosen and financially committed to. The intimate wedding worked out beautifully with Sarah directing the entire event from helping the bridal party, arranging the rehearsal, ceremony, and reception. She alleviated so much stress and worry for us throughout the year from start to finish. It was incredible to us how she was prepared for every detail we encountered. Sarah handled all of the above with boundless energy, grace, sweetness, and a positive, delightful attitude throughout our entire wedding experience.
Embark Event Design is changing the status quo of the wedding industry in the Central Coast. Instead of being worried and stressed through your entire engagement, when you work with Sarah Strausser, founder of Embark Event Design, you will be confident that every detail is in place and you will actually enjoy the process of planning your wedding and be able to be at ease on your big day. She will facilitate your wedding staff with grace and ease, she will keep the environment positive through any bumps in the road, and you can fully trust her to get things done. The coordinator you choose to hire for your wedding really matters and makes a difference and I cannot recommend anyone better than Sarah Strausser! Thank you Sarah, so grateful for you and your passion for serving your clients.
Working with Sarah is an absolute honor. I noticed Sarah’s talent long before we worked on my event together. Her eye for detail and incredible organization skills is the foundation of what brings all of her work to life. There was never a time that I doubted the completion of a project or the reaching of a deadline with Sarah. Her calming and assuring persona set my mind at ease and allowed me to focus on other aspects of my week-long event. Words cannot describe what it was like to walk in to the venue the day of the event to see everything that she had worked so hard on, come alive. Sarah is with you from the initial consultation, to the final clean up at the end of the night and every moment in between. Sarah is much more than your event coordinator, she is a necessity to your team, and if you have the privilege to work with her, it will become impossible to imagine working without her.
Sarah stayed on top of everything and kept open lines of communication throughout. From our first call, she had such a positive and charismatic attitude. She was so easy to work with, had amazing relationships with all the best local vendors, and truly ensured our day went off without any issues. She truly executed the plans leading up to and on the big day flawlessly, all while keeping a positive and calm vibe. During the process, she took extra time to schedule countless calls and video visits, all while keeping the plan and vision on track. We could not have been happier with how the rehearsal and wedding days went overall. We are so happy we we the chance to work with Sarah and her lovely team. Thank you for making this so special!
Sarah is not an emerging wedding planner, she is fast becoming a leader in the field. We trusted her taste and the results were everything we imagined, plus more. Thank you, Sarah, for making our wedding the best we've ever attended (and so say our guests!)
